About
I’m Ellie Liao. I come from instructional design and work in a junior-high classroom, which is where most of the problems I solve come from.
My way of building products: define the problem, write down the constraints, lay out the options and make the trade-offs, then hand the decisions to AI (mostly Claude Code) to turn into code. I own the judgment, the acceptance and the next iteration driven by user feedback. Every case on this site was built that way, and each one has real users or is actually live.
Current cases:
- Earth Day × Six Thinking Hats: a classroom tool used by about 87 students across three classes, with post-class AI analysis of how coherent their thinking was.
- Zoo environmental-education LINE bot: a Q&A bot mixing rules, BERT, RAG and GPT.
- MinutePad: an iOS notes app with a widget and subscriptions.
- Chinese homework lookup: a small Google Apps Script tool for the classroom.
The code lives in private repositories. What this site shows is the method, the decisions and the process; every decision and human–AI entry traces back to the project’s git log or decision records.
